Innovation and Excellence Day: Energy, Water and Skills: Challenges for the Resources Sector , will focus on the challenging and ever changing social, political and natural environments for the resources industries in Australia. Short presentations will be followed by a discussion panel allowing the audience to take part in the event. Presentation topics on the day will include:

• New energy technologies that will help the mining industry adapt to climate change and a carbon price
• Too much and/or too little water–the challenges that must be met
• Critical skills in mining and processing and what present trends mean–how will Australia meet industry's needs?
